Analogue Camera Adapter (ACA) is an interface board designed to easily connect the analogue cameras to the Colibri or Apalis Carrier board using Parallel Camera Interface (CIF).
The Analogue Camera Adapter accepts NTSC/PAL/SECAM standard composite video signals and converts the video signals into a YCrCb 4:2:2 video data stream that is compatible with the 8-bit ITU-R BT.656 interface standard with external HSync/VSync signals.
Up-to 4 analog cameras can be connected to the Analogue Camera Adapter V2.0.
Analogue Camera Adapter can be ordered with any Apalis or Colibri computer on module.
For compatible carrier boards, see the Compatible Products tab.
All the products can be ordered online at Toradex Webshop
Please read the following articles before using this product.
Please contact our technical support. Various option of technical support are mentioned in the article below.
- Uses Analog Devices, ADV7280 video decoder
- Analogue Camera Input : 4 multiplexed video input channels, supporting NTSC / PAL / SECAM composite video signals
- Parallel data output format: 8-Bit Parallel ITU-R BT.656 with external HSync and VSync
- No external power supply required
- Apalis Evaluation Board
The ACA V2.0 connector X1 pinout is 1:1 pin mapped with respect to the the Parallel Camera Interface connector (X22) Apalis Evaluation Board
- Ixora Carrier Board
The Ixora Carrier Board has a 20 pin camera interface connector (X14). When the 24 way 1:1 IDC ribbon cable connector is used to connect the ACA V2.0 with the Ixora carrier board, the last four pins of the IDC cable connector are left unconnected on the Ixora carrier board side
- Colibri Evaluation Board
V3.2: The ACA V2.0 connector X1 pinout is 1:1 pin mapped with respect to the the Parallel Camera Interface connector (X22) on the Colibri Evaluation Board V3.2.
V3.1 and earlier: The ACA V2.0 connector X1 pinout is not 1:1 pin mapped with respect to the the Parallel Camera Interface connector (X22) on the Colibri Evaluation board V3.1. A custom connector will be required to connect the ACA V2.0 with the Colibri Evaluation Board V3.1. For more details, please refer to the Analogue Camera Adapter V2.0 datasheet
- Viola Carrier Board
A custom cable will be required to interface the ACA V2.0 with the Viola Carrier Board V1.2 and Viola Plus Carrier Board V1.2. For more details, please refer to the Viola Carrier Board V1.2 datasheet
