Introduction

This article contains download links to offline installers for the Toradex Reference Images for Yocto Project.

For alternative software offerings, such as Partner Demo Images and Torizon, visit our Software page.

You must choose the image format:

  • Toradex Easy Installer Image Format: the only format supported for BSP 3 onwards. Also supported for BSP 2.8, except for Colibri VF50/VF61/T20/T30.
  • Legacy Image Format: the only format supported for Colibri VF50/VF61/T20/T30, only used for BSP 2.8. Not available from BSP 3 onwards.

Toradex Easy Installer Image Format

Downloads of quarterly and LTS releases may be verified using the following SHA256SUMS file.

Toradex Embedded Linux Long Term Supported(LTS) Releases

LTS releases are production releases. They are good for development but also for deployment on the field. They have a maintenance cycle usually around 2 to 3 years. Learn more about the different image options on BSP Layers and Reference Images for Yocto Project Software.

Toradex Embedded Linux Quarterly Releases

Quarterly releases are production releases. They are good for development but also for deployment on the field. They get replaced with a newer quarterly every 3 months. Learn more about the different image options on BSP Layers and Reference Images for Yocto Project Software.

Toradex Embedded Linux Monthly Releases

Monthly releases are pre-production releases. They are good for development as you keep up-to-date with the latest features and bugfixes. Learn more about the different image options on BSP Layers and Reference Images for Yocto Project Software.

Warning: The images with the PREEMPT_RT patch haven't been fully validated by Toradex. We have only run smoke tests and cyclictest to make sure that the system boots properly and the PREEMPT_RT patches are working on idle conditions.

Toradex Embedded Linux Nightly Releases

Nightly releases are pre-production releases without testing, and may not boot. Typically they are only used in development to focus on a feature or bug fix coming up in a monthly release. Learn more about the different image options on BSP Layers and Reference Images for Yocto Project Software.
